The crossing

The campaign is a single journey along a finite map: 41 stops and 81 missions across 8 territories. The main line always moves toward the Living Arc; side missions and contracts branch off and come back.

Chapter I — Nascente Valley

A green valley that is drying up. The community boards the train at Nascente and learns the machine on the way out: throttle, boiler, the first switches, the first raiders. Stops: Nascente, Aurora, Encontro, Ribeira.

Chapter II — Rust Corridor

Industrial ruins, toll gates and the first steel bridges. Stops: Iron Gate, Red Workshop, Toll, Cold Mine, Steel Bridge, Red Signal. Cold Mine is the last stop of the free stretch; the purchase unlocks everything after it.

Chapter III — Salt Sea

Open salt flats with long sightlines and nowhere to hide. Salt rams charge the line. Stops: Old Salt Pans, Lighthouse Post, Field of Towers, Shelter Yard, Salt Crossing.

Chapter IV — Dead Tides Delta

Water splits the battlefield: ground enemies need road bridges to reach you, skimmers do not. Stops: Old Dike, Tide Yard, Three Banks, Deep Mangrove, High Pier.

Chapter V — White Frontier

Cold that punishes a badly managed boiler and rewards the Frost Service locomotive. The line starts at Frost Station.

Chapter VI — Ash Belt

Volcanic ground, lava margins and caves that swallow the track. The line starts at Ash Shelter.

Chapter VII — Windswept Lands

Canyons, escarpments and storm kites riding the wind above the rails. The line starts at Canyon Mouth.

Chapter VIII — Living Arc

The destination: a land that can still be lived in, if the train gets there whole. The line starts at Green Gates.

How the map works

Mission verbs

Every mission combines four verbs: navigate (switches, bridges, dead ends and reversing), couple or deliver (wagons, cargo, people), repair or reconnect (signals, bridges, the train itself), and defend or escort (a caravan, a station, your own passenger car).

Missions are 10–16 minutes

Each mission is sized for a single sitting: 10–16 minutes on average, with a briefing, a map tour and a cast of regional operators who talk you through the stretch (voices in Brazilian Portuguese, subtitles in Portuguese and English).
